Digital Forensic Practitioner by trade, Doreen is an Internet Governance Coordinator for the South African Domain Name Authority, a state-owned agency that manages and regulates the .za namespace in South Africa and the generic (gTLD) and country code (ccTLD) Top-Level Domain name system management, and root server system management functions. Her role is as an internet Governance coordinator includes Internet governance policy making coordination to enable discussions or to organize pressure towards decision-making bodies to find solutions for emerging issues in the country. Prior to ZADNA was a Digital Banking Specialist for on of South Africa’s leading banks .She has been spearheading the Multistakeholder collaboration within the South African Internet Governance ecosystem and sits as a member of the National Cyber Security Task Team founded by the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services. She’s also a Women Think Code ambassador and Mentor in a bid to curb the digital divide science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) professions. Doreen holds numerous qualifications in Forensic Investigation, Policing, Forensic Law, Policy and Regulations and Digital Forensics.

Doreen’s is a frequent speaker on Cybersecurity, Digital inclusion and access, Ethical Hacking, Emerging Technology and issues relating privacy concerns for organizations and civil society and she has been involved in launching several technology-based, venture-backed startups including the development of young women in Cyber Security and online safety.
