Marilyn Radebe is the founder and CEO of Soma Solutions, a 100% black women owned information and communication technology company based in Johannesburg. Marilyn and her team have made it their sole mission to ensure that they future proof their client’s organisations, with their cutting edge digital solutions and platforms; with a particular focus on cloud based solutions and cyber security.
Marilyn currently serves as a board member at the Media, Information, Communication Technology (MICT) SETA, where she also serves as the Chairperson of the Finance and Remuneration Sub-Committee. Marilyn also serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Gauteng Black IT Forum (BITF), where she is the Chairperson of the Women in ICT Sub-Committee.
Marilyn has also recently been instrumental in the formation of African Women in Information Technology (AWIT) and in providing input into the National Integrated ICT Policy White Paper. Marilyn has a long standing track record in the IT industry.
Marilyn obtained her BCom Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and later went on to complete the Management Advancement Programme at Wits Business School.
She started her career as a database analyst and has worked for various blue chip companies, where she learned and honed her ICT skills.
