Mmbatho Mokiti

Mmabatho started her career as a Mathematics tutor at 19 and currently serves as the Founder and CEO of Mathemaniacs, a STEM education consultancy business that creates and implements CSI strategies focused that impact rural and disadvantaged schools in South Africa. Mmabatho believes that every child, regardless of their background should have access to quality STEM education. She is also a founding member of DreamGirls Outreach and Mentoring Program South Africa. This is a girl mentoring program with ensures that teenage girls from disadvantaged and rural communities study further after matric.

Mmabatho was previously a director on the board of DAD Fund, a nonprofit that focuses on youth empowerment programs.

She has consulted for several companies in the education sector.

In 2011 and 2012 Mmabatho was the host for the talk show “Teacher Talk” on Mindset Learn, DSTV channel 319. This show focused on connecting and empowering educators in South Africa. And she was also a presenter for several revision programs on Mindset’s Learn Xtra show on DSTV channel 319.

In 2013 Mmabatho interned at the Michigan Economic Development Cooperation and worked under the Governor’s office to work on Michigan’s State’s youth development programs.

Mmabatho holds a BSc (Mathematics and Chemistry) from University of Johannesburg, and gained a Business and Entrepreneurship Certificate from Clark Atlanta University (USA) through Mandela Washington Fellowship YALI. She is currently studying for a BSc (Mathematical Statistics) through UNISA.
