Nobukhosi Dlamini

Nobukhosi is an experiencedIt professional with 15 years in the industry. She has worked in leading technology roles across various industries including FMCG, Financial Services, Health Insurance, FinTech and Consulting.

Nobukhosi holds a BSc Computer Science degree from University of Cape Town. She has managed technology environments in many countries in Sub Saharan Africa.

Nobukhosi runs her own Tech Consulting business founded in 2017. Her clients include big organisations in Banking, Oil and Gas, and Education Sector.

Nobukhosi believes in giving back to her community and she has founded a project called BAHATI Girls where she mentors young girls from informal settlements who want to pursue a tech-related career. Nobukhosi also participated as a Head Judge in TECHNOVATION 2019 - a global competition for girl teams to build a tech solution to solve a problem in their community. She is also encouraging local schools to submit teams to enter TECHNOVATION 2020 so that more South African girls can be exposed to the global tech community from a young age.

Nobukhosi is the Digital Lead for the Hillsong Africa's Innovation Hub based in Philipi, Cape Town. The Innovation Hub is a non-profit organization which offers free training to young people from the local township in digital skills to make them employable and also set them up to start their own businesses or participatein the gig economy.

Nobukhosi as the Digital Lead, develops the curriculum and plans the lessons. She also leads a team of facilitators who deliver the classroom sessions at the Innovation Hub.

Nobukhosi has also been selected by the US State Department to participate in Tech Women 2019 - a five week exchange program where selected Emerging Tech Leaders from around world participate in an exchange program in Silicon Valley and Washington DC.
