Ridhwana Khan is an entrepreneur, a software developer. She studied her BSc Computer Scienced at the University of Witwatersrand and she’s been a software developer for over 5 years
She is the co-founder of a software development company, Zero One Bespoke Software Development. As a software developer, she is constantly fulfilling her passion of finding solutions to problems that meaningfully impact people’s lives.
She has also co-founded an NPO, Kasi Maths, that assists children in underprivileged communities to develop their mathematical abilities. Ridhwana assists in the organization of community events. Some of them include, Ladies that UX JHB, the Women in Tech Jhb group that serves a medium for women to connect, network, learn and empower each other to be better leaders in their fields, and Railsbridge Jhb, an event that introduces the foundations of coding to minority groups.
Ridhwana has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics To her, community building and sharing knowledge is vital, thus she enjoys speaking about what she has learnt and obtaining others opinions. She has spoken at the PyCon Conference 2014 , Jozi.rb and Developer UG. She truly believes in the power of community which is why she co-organizes Ladies who UX JHB and Women in Tech ZA (JHB)
Her team won the 2017 TechWoman Pitch in Silicon Valley for their product Khasi Maths: “Our goal is for every student that goes through the KasiMaths program to fully understand that Maths is everywhere, Maths is fun and Maths is essential.”
