Suzana Moreira is the founder of moWoza, a social enterprise adopting mobile phone technologies to aid with food distribution in Africa.
She has travelled extensively across Africa, and has developed significant insight into sustainability at the bottom of the pyramid. It is from conversations with communities in Mozambique, Zambia, DRC, Morrocco, Uganda and Rwanda that moWoza was founded.
She is passionate about food security, nutrition, literacy, female empowerment and climate change. Prior to founding moWoza, she worked on several infrastructure development programmes in Europe and the manufacturing industry in South Africa.
She holds an MBA from the Imperial College Business School, London and a Honours Degree in Financial Management and Strategy from the University of South Africa. She has completed several research papers on innovations leapfrogging in emerging markets, social enterprise and sustainability for academia, NGOs and business institutions.
